Terms of Service

Acceptance
By joining our waitlist, creating an account, or using the Chorio app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Chorio. Chorio is operated by Arcstone Labs LLC.
Who can use Chorio
Chorio is designed for families with children ages 4–16. The family account must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. That parent or guardian is responsible for adding their children, supervising how the app is used in their household, and providing consent on their children's behalf.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials — and your children's PINs — secure, and for all activity that occurs under your family account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@chorio-app.com.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you and your family add to Chorio, such as quest and reward names and any photos submitted as chore proof. By submitting this content, you grant Arcstone Labs LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to your family. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account.
Subscriptions, billing & refunds
Chorio is free to start. Optional paid plans (Family and Family Plus) unlock additional features and are billed on the interval you choose (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until canceled. Paid subscriptions are processed through the applicable app store or our payment processor, and are charged in USD. Refunds are handled according to the policy of the store or processor through which you purchased. You can cancel at any time; access to paid features continues through the end of your current billing period.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or another family's account
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights
- Use automated means to access the service in ways that circumvent plan limits
- Resell or sublicense access to the service
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Cancellation & termination
You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; sections covering disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arcstone Labs LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Chorio. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Dispute resolution
We hope to resolve any issue informally first — email hello@chorio-app.com and we'll make a good-faith effort to work it out within 30 days. If informal resolution fails, you agree that any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. You waive the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first creating your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and applicable law change. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
